Privacy Policy for Calvera

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Calvera ("the app", "we") is a single-player puzzle game. This policy explains what data the app handles, what is shared with third parties, and the choices you have.

Calvera is intended for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13.

Summary

Most of what Calvera stores stays on your device. If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, your profile is additionally backed up to your own Google account so it survives a reinstall or a new device — see "Cloud save" below. The app also uses a small number of third-party services for sign-in, crash diagnostics, optional problem reports you choose to send, anonymous usage statistics, and optional rewarded advertisements. Those services are listed in full below. We do not sell your personal data.

Data stored on your device

The following is stored in the app's private storage:

If you play without signing in to Google Play Games, none of this is transmitted by us. If you do sign in, most of it is backed up to your own Google account — see "Cloud save" below. The in-progress match snapshot and the record of which purchases you own are never included in that backup and stay on your device.

Uninstalling the app deletes this data from your device. If you had signed in, the cloud backup remains in your Google account until you delete it (see "Your choices and consent").

Google Play Games sign-in (optional)

Calvera offers an optional Google Play Games sign-in. If you sign in, Google provides the app with a player identifier so that cosmetic entitlements, purchases, and leaderboard entries can be associated with your account. You may decline sign-in and play offline; declining disables cosmetics and online leaderboards but does not otherwise limit gameplay.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Cloud save

If you sign in with Google Play Games, Calvera backs your profile up to your own Google account using Google Play Saved Games, so that it survives reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. The backup contains:

It does not contain your in-progress match snapshot or your purchase record.

The backup is written when a match ends and when you leave the app, and it is read back when you sign in on a device. It is stored in your Google account rather than on any server of ours, and it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can view and delete Play Games saved data at any time from the Play Games app, under your profile's settings. If you never sign in, no cloud save is created.

Purchases

One-time purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or any other payment information. We receive only a confirmation of which item was purchased.

Crash and error diagnostics

To find and fix crashes, Calvera uses:

That installation identifier is a random value generated by the app, is not derived from any device or hardware identifier, is not linked to your name, email address or Google account, and is reset if you reinstall the app or clear its data. It is shown to you in Settings → Account so that you can quote it when requesting deletion (see How to request deletion of your data). We use these reports solely to diagnose defects, and we do not use them to try to identify you personally. See the Sentry Privacy Policy.

Reporting a problem yourself (optional)

Calvera includes an optional "Report a problem" form. It is never triggered automatically — it is sent only when you choose to fill it in and submit it. When you do, the report is delivered to Sentry (above) together with:

Your name and email address are optional fields on that form. If you leave them blank, nothing identifying you is included. Please avoid including personal information in the description. If you send a report and later want it deleted, contact us at the address at the end of this policy.

Analytics

Calvera uses GameAnalytics (GameAnalytics ApS) to understand, in aggregate, how the game is played — for example how many players complete the tutorial, which game modes are used, and how often matches are finished. This collects a generated installation identifier, device and operating system information, country-level location (derived from IP address, not precise location), and in-app gameplay events.

Analytics events are only sent where you have given the applicable consent (see "Your choices and consent" below). We use this only to improve the game, and the reports we look at are aggregated rather than tied to an individual player. See the GameAnalytics Privacy Policy.

Advertising

Calvera shows rewarded advertisements only. These are always optional and always started by you: you may choose to watch a short video advertisement in exchange for an in-game benefit, such as an additional hint. Calvera does not show pop-up (interstitial) advertisements, banner advertisements, or any advertisement you did not choose to start. You can play the entire game without ever watching one.

Advertisements are served by Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and information about your interaction with the advertisement in order to serve and measure ads.

See the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from partner sites and apps.

How to request deletion of your data

This section explains how to delete data held by Calvera (Jerry's Interactive).

Data you can delete yourself, immediately. Everything Calvera stores on your device — your display name, level and experience, statistics, match history, settings, purchase entitlement cache, advertising-frequency counters and the installation ID described below — is removed by uninstalling the app, or via Android Settings → Apps → Calvera → Storage → Clear data.

Your cloud save. If you signed in with Google Play Games, a copy of your profile is also held in your own Google account (see "Cloud save" above). Uninstalling the app does not remove that copy. Delete it yourself from the Play Games app, under your profile → Settings → delete Play Games data. It is your account's data, so no request to us is needed — and we cannot delete it for you.

Finding your installation ID. Crash reports and analytics events are not linked to your name, email address or Google account. They carry only a randomly generated installation ID, which is the single piece of information that lets us locate your records. You can read it in the app under Settings → Account → Install ID; tapping the row copies it to your clipboard. It is erased when you uninstall or clear the app's data.

Data you can ask us to delete. To request deletion of crash reports, in-app bug reports and analytics events, email jerrysgames92@gmail.com with the subject line "Data deletion request" and paste your installation ID into the message. We will confirm once the deletion is complete. Without the ID we have no way to tell your records apart from anyone else's, so please include it.

Where a crash report documents a defect we have not yet fixed, we may keep the technical details — the error and stack trace — after removing your installation ID from it, so that the defect can still be repaired for other players. Once stripped, the report is no longer linked to you or your device.

Data we cannot delete, and why. Purchase records are held by Google Play, which retains them as required for billing and tax purposes; we have no ability to remove them. Google Play Games achievements, leaderboard entries and saved games are held by Google under your own Google account — you can delete those yourself at your Google account dashboard.

We may decline requests that are repetitive or manifestly excessive, as permitted by applicable data-protection law.

Data retention

Crash reports and analytics data are retained for a limited period in line with the providers' standard retention settings, and are used only in aggregate or for defect diagnosis.

Children's privacy

Calvera is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

The third-party providers named above may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Those providers maintain their own safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
